I'm an orthopedic trauma surgeon based in Milan (Italy) and specializing in major trauma and limb reconstruction.
Alongside my medical career, I have cultivated a lifelong passion for wildlife and the ocean.
My interest in photography began at an early age, shooting black-and-white film and developing it at home. 

Over the years, I trained as both a freediver and scuba diver, and expanded my knowledge of marine biology, with a particular focus on cetaceans.

I chose to bring a camera underwater only after learning to move in the ocean with awareness and respect.

Before photographing any species, I like to really get to know it first, through scientific literature. It’s become a genuine passion of mine, and it shapes the way I approach every encounter with wildlife.

My work seeks to tell honest stories of beauty and conservation, where wildlife is not a subject to conquer, but a fellow living being in this shared world.

In an era where nature is too often exposed to pressure and spectacle, I try to approach wildlife photography with care and honesty. Through my images, I simply hope to share a little of the connection and wonder I feel for the natural world we all belong to.
